We completed a comprehensive redesign of the kitchen and living space in a 1911 Phinney Ridge home. The remodel included transforming a previously unusual kitchen layout into a modern and functional space, opening up the flow to the dining and living spaces, and now features dark blue cabinetry that extends to the ceiling.
The kitchen also includes modern stainless-steel appliances, and the incorporation of wood elements with open shelving that adds warmth to the design. The space is anchored by a large island with a quartz white countertop, complemented by leather-upholstered bar stools, which offers both a workspace and seating area. Large windows bring in natural light, highlighting the smooth transition between the kitchen and the adjoining living spaces.
Throughout the project, Schulte Design Build’s team maintained a clean and professional work environment, even as the homeowners continued to reside in the house. Our expertise with older Seattle homes helped us in thoughtful design choices and adherence to the project’s budget and schedule.
